A 100+ billion dollar multinational consumer products company was using hundreds of spreadsheets to manage products and rebranding activites. Look at it like this; If you have 100 people who are working with 500 companies that all produce artwork and they each produce about 50,000 pieces of artwork, that is a lot to keep track of in one spreadsheet. This problem led to many issues for the company because it was too much effort to effectively manage the process.
The Results
We developed a custom built capacity planning/project management tool with a gantt based UI in order to visualize the delivery schedule. They now can instantly recalculate out delivery dates across a portfolio of 50,000 individual projects, manage capacity with their vendors to ensure effective planning, and that everything is completed and delivered on time. And everyone has access to the same data.
